Typography in bits

Not exactly new (2011), but we didn’t have it here, yet, and a current listing on the Hacker News front page provides a convenient occasion for posting it: A nice series on the typography of some of the better known retro systems, each with a sample, a short discussion and a download link for a modern TrueType font.
