We Spoke With the Last Person Standing in the Floppy Disk Business

We Spoke With the Last Person Standing in the Floppy Disk Business - Tom Persky still finds a market for floppies at his site FLOPPYDISK.COM

(the UX of the site is somewhat annoying, with things popping up now and again. The text is interesting, though)

I think I bought from him before. It’s getting hard to find DD/DS 3.5" floppies for my vintage machines. And you can’t use HD 3.5" floppies in those drives.

I just don’t have the head for business which allows for this kind of move:

I would say my last buy from a manufacturer was about ten or twelve years ago. Back then I made the decision to buy a large quantity, a couple of million disks, and we’ve basically been living off of that inventory ever since

Luckily, there’s always ebay.
I wonder how many people paying much for defective “promotional” disks.
And I wonder how much 8" disks are. But shipping from the US is expensive anyway.
