This project has gotten to a good enough state that I thought I’d share. Wiki pages for all the 65c816 Instructions are now available:
I’ve noticed that the number of questions per day on 65c816 assembly at SnesLab has decreased dramatically since I created these pages. I think that’s a signal that it’s become easier to look up the details on these pages than to ask other people. Previous documentation usually lacked hyperlinks or were paper books, or PDF scans of those books that were difficult to navigate, read, and search.
Still to come are example syntax in various assemblers and what precisely is happening during each clock cycle. And, better diagrams of the various addressing modes.
