This is a book that was commissioned by NASA to record the history of computers in spaceflight. It is an excellent read. There are a few technical points that the author seems to be confused on, but overall it seems mostly accurate.
The book covers most NASA missions from Mercury through the Shuttle. I rarely have time to read entire books any more, but I’ve made time to read this one twice.
