So this is over now? The first link just takes me to a long list of books, and trying out a couple of the ones you mentioned takes me to a purchase page where the only option seems to be to pay for them.

Ah well. What I really want is a collection of the IEEE Annals of the History of Computing, but I’ve never seen a way of getting to those that didn’t involve paying a couple of dozen dollars an issue, or something like that.
