It’s been true for a long time that a link, or a whole website, can cease to be valid at some point - maybe the domain expired, or the data was lost, or the owner decided to take it away.
Two recent cases in point:
Spare Time Gizmos, run by Bob Armstrong, was retired by the owner, but now is (mostly) reconstructed by Bob Kuczewski:
Retrobrew Computers was both a forum and a repository for projects, and seems to have failed some time this year. The Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine has got some but not all of the content:
In both cases, if anyone has any downloaded files or cached data, it might prove useful to check if yours is the only remaining copy.
