The Amiga had an unusual floppy setup: it writes tracks at a time, MFM encoded, with minimal gaps, allowing for 11 sectors but not allowing for single-sector writes. It’s somewhat interesting that the Amiga also supports the higher-density option of GCR encoding, but didn’t use it as-shipped.
