The Quazon Quik-Link 300

Someone recently posted an image of the Quazon Quik-Link 300, a membrane-keyboard terminal that was apparently sold for use in hotels starting in 1983.

It looks a lot like the RCA VP 3000 series - which also had a color coded membrane keyboard and a 300 baud modem.

Anyone know more about the Quik-Link 300, and whether or not it is a white-label VP?

There seem to be two spellings. I found Quazon Quick-Link 300 on the Terminals wiki. The page has four links which might be worth following. In the linked Infoworld article we read

Quazon’s initial terminal offering is the TH01. It has a pressure-sensitive keyboard and works in conjunction with a telephone connection and the hotel-room television. The terminal is controlled by a Z8 microprocessor and has special, designated function keys that allow users to enter credit-card billing information (which is automatically verified on-line). Another series of function keys above the QWERTY keyboard al-lows users to select from a variety of videotex services
…
Quazon is also planning to intro duce a home version of the low-cost terminal, the Quik-Link 300, at the up coming Consumer Electronics Show

Also on this archived page we read

The Quazon Quik-Link 300 is a videotex terminal was offered for use in hotel rooms and with E. F. Hutton investment accounts. In 1984, the retail price was raised to $249. Quazon Quik-Link 300 Videotex allows you to access remote information services via your telephone line. In addition to simple information retrieval like stock market tables, newspapers and encyclopedias, videotex provides interactive services such as electronic messaging, home shopping and banking and computer games.

which might be a lead.

The Quazon terminal might have used one of RCA’s membrane ASCII keyboards, but it wasn’t a white label RCA VP-33xx.

The VP-33xx was smaller, and was (naturally, for RCA) based on the CDP1802 processor. There are a couple of pages of information, including motherboard pictures:

There’s even a VP3301-VP3303 motherboard on eBay. It’s at a “I don’t know what this is, but if the right person needs it, they’ll pay it” LOLPRICE.

A Z8 in the wild! Definitely not related then.
