Retrofest 2026, Swindon (UK)
I’ve just returned from this year’s Retrofest, and it was even better than last year’s event.
What I particularly enjoyed was how inclusive it was. If you’re interested in retro computing, there was truly something for everyone—not just the familiar home computers. There were calculators, teletypes, Unix workstations, recreations of historic machines, and modern enhancements for classic systems.
Of course, there were also plenty of weird and wonderful exhibits that many people had never even heard of, let alone seen in person.
I’m sure there will be plenty of videos from the event appearing on YouTube over the coming weeks. If you weren’t able to attend this year, keep an eye out for those—or better still, plan to attend next year’s show, which is already being promised as even bigger and better.
