I just received correspondence that Robert Tinney passed away on the 1st of February (https://tinney.net/in-memoriam). I love his front covers for Byte for their sense of whimsy and style, and it’s a large part of the reason why I could never throw out my original copies of Byte.

Indeed. I purchased a copy of that print, as well as the Forth one (which is also used as the cover of the book “Thread Interpretive Languages”).
