Hi everyone,

I’m c64spark. For the past 14 years, I’ve been writing about classic computers — Commodore 64, Amiga, ZX Spectrum, and the processors behind them.

I’ve just published a book: Z80: The Amazing Processor of the 1970s. It’s the story of the chip that conquered the world — from CP/M to the Spectrum, from Pac-Man to the Game Boy.

The first two chapters are free on my ZX Spectrum-themed website:

I built the site to look like a 48K Spectrum running BASIC. You can LOAD the sample chapters right there.

I’d love to hear from anyone who worked with the Z80 back in the day — what did you build? What memories do you have?
