One of several interesting technical deep dives, in this case bringing what had been a C64 exclusive back to Acorn’s BBC Micro:
In the case of the Nürburgring back-port, various rounds of play-testing helped to find some subtleties with the physics.
Other deep dives nearby go into the physics and rendering challenges - Revs being an especially accurate and sophisticated simulation, for the day. One point to note is that the various Revs expansion tracks needed to make multiple extensions to the code as well as merely containing data (and imagery) for the additional tracks - the original Silverstone model was not sufficient for the other tracks, in particular the tight curves and elevation changes.
Even the process of loading the game is quite interesting!
