TNMOC celebrates Atari’s legacy on June 25 with an event that lets you get hands on with the games and hear from some of those behind Atari’s success.
Joining us will be
Kevin Hayes - former managing director of Atari Ireland that – at peak Atari - employed a staff of hundreds and who supplied thousands of arcade games consoles each week across Europe. Kevin also served as vice president of manufacturing for Atari games and vice president of operations at Atari HQ in California. Kevin will join us in conversation to discuss life and work inside the phenomena that was Atari.
Members of Atari Program Exchange – a first-of-its kind program that saw Atari sell software built for Atari’s 8-bit computers by actual Atari users. Former members of APX will be in conversation with Kay Savetz, who has built an enviable collection of 400 oral histories with game authors and publishers behind the history of 8-bit computers and who is co-host of Antic: The Atari 8-bit Podcast.
