Antikythera Mechanism video (retro enough?)

I remembered that I had watched this recently, and it had some new details, well new at least to me: 2,000 Year Old Computer - Decoding the Antikythera Mechanism - YouTube

I think the video is from 2012, so not exactly the latest possible info

There’s a remarkable computer animation of the mechanism at about the 10 min mark of this video: “Preventing the Collapse of Civilization” (you only need to watch up to the 12 min mark.) The point in this case is just to show how much machinery there is in there!

Edit: for an up-to-date take, perhaps this free-to-read paper in Nature. (“A Model of the Cosmos in the ancient Greek Antikythera Mechanism”)

Not to forget the ClickSpring videos, attempting not only to recreate the mechanism, but the technogology and tools required, as well.

There are two YouTube playlists, one on the build process and one called “Fragments”, which focuses more on the tools and technology. Both are 10 videos each and these are very well made videos!
