I have an Amstrad 3286 asking for a system disk, does anyone know if I can load up any version of ms-dos? Or I need a boot disk? I see there is mention of a setup file for earlier Amstrad. I have genuine 6.1 dos disks but doesn’t do anything. 3.5” drive has the light on but no loading or anything when disk inserted. Not sure if I’m trying to load the wrong version or I have a problem with the floppy drive controller.
All the Amstrad PC compatibles will boot from any standard DOS disk, such as MS-DOS, PC-DOS, DR-DOS or FreeDOS.
